    Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Ved Academic Press is committed to ensuring the highest ethical standards in all aspects of academic publishing. We adhere to the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expect all participants involved in the publication process—authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers—to maintain integrity, transparency, and academic honesty.

1. Duties of Editors

  • Editors must make publication decisions based on the manuscript’s scholarly merit, originality, clarity, and relevance.
  • All manuscripts must be reviewed fairly, without discrimination on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or political beliefs.
  • Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the publisher.
  • Editors are responsible for investigating allegations of misconduct and taking appropriate action, including retraction or correction if necessary.

2. Duties of Authors

  • Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original and free from plagiarism.
  • All sources must be properly cited; text, data, or ideas taken from other sources must be appropriately acknowledged.
  • Authors should not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal.
  • Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the research.
  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and funding sources.
  • If significant errors are discovered after publication, authors must promptly notify the journal to issue a correction or retraction.

3. Duties of Reviewers

  • Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts without knowing the identity of the authors.
  • Reviewers must not attempt to identify the authors and must respect the confidentiality of the double-blind review process.
  • They must not use any unpublished material for personal benefit.
  • Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed, and if such a conflict exists, reviewers should decline the review.
  • Reviewers are expected to inform the editor about any ethical concerns such as plagiarism, duplicate submission, or data fabrication.

4. Plagiarism and Ethical Misconduct

  • All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using reliable tools.
  • Any form of plagiarism (including self-plagiarism) is strictly prohibited and will lead to rejection or retraction.
  • Misconduct such as data fabrication, image manipulation, or falsified authorship is unacceptable and will result in permanent blacklisting from the journal.

5. Data Access and Retention

Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with their paper for editorial review and should be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable period after publication.

6. Retraction and Correction Policy

In cases of proven scientific misconduct, ethical violations, or major errors, the journal will issue a correction, retraction, or expression of concern as appropriate.

Retraction notices will clearly state the reasons for retraction and who is initiating it.

7. Conflict of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work. Transparency of potential conflicts is essential to maintain public trust in the scientific process.

8. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work but grant Ved Academic Press the right to publish and distribute the content. Unless otherwise stated, published articles are available under an open access policy.

9. Reporting Misconduct

Allegations of research misconduct, unethical behavior, or violations of publication ethics should be reported to the Editor-in-Chief or the editorial office via email. All allegations will be investigated confidentially and thoroughly.

Ved Academic Press strives to maintain the integrity of the academic record and build trust in the scholarly publishing ecosystem.

Peer Review Policy

At Ved Academic Press, we uphold a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the highest quality and academic integrity of all publications. The peer review system is at the heart of our commitment to scholarly excellence and ethical research dissemination.

A. Purpose of Peer Review

  • To maintain the quality, validity, and relevance of published research.
  • To provide authors with constructive feedback to improve their manuscripts.
  • To ensure unbiased and independent evaluation of the manuscript’s academic merit.

B. Type of Peer Review

We follow a Double-Blind Peer Review system:

  • The identity of the reviewers is not disclosed to the authors.
  • The identity of the authors is not disclosed to the reviewers.
  • This ensures objectivity, fairness, and impartiality throughout the review process.

C. Review Process Overview

Initial Screening by Editor: Each manuscript is first reviewed by the editorial team to check for:

  • Scope relevance
  • Formatting compliance
  • Ethical standards
  • Plagiarism (using tools such as Turnitin or similar)

Assignment to Reviewers: Manuscripts passing the initial screening are sent to 2 or more independent subject matter experts.

  • Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, previous publications, and non-conflict of interest.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Originality and novelty
  • Scientific/technical soundness
  • Methodology and data analysis
  • Clarity and structure
  • Contribution to the field
  • Proper citations and references

Reviewer Recommendations:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Major revisions required
  • Reject

Final Decision: The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief or handling editor, who considers reviewers’ comments and authors' revisions.

Revisions and Resubmission: Authors are provided reviewer comments and are expected to revise and respond point-by-point. The revised manuscript may be re-evaluated by the same or different reviewers.

D. Reviewer Ethics and Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality and not share or use manuscript content for personal benefit.
  • Evaluate objectively and provide constructive feedback.
  • Declare conflicts of interest and decline review if unable to provide an unbiased opinion.
  • Complete the review within the specified timeline (usually 2–4 weeks).

E. Timeline

  • Initial editorial decision: Within 7–10 days
  • Peer review round: 2–4 weeks
  • Final decision after revisions: 1–2 weeks
  • Total time from submission to final decision: Approximately 4–6 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and revision rounds.
ss is committed to maintaining academic accuracy and ethical publishing practices. As we prepare to launch our scholarly journals, we are adopting a transparent approach toward correcting published content, even as we grow and apply for indexing and ISSN registration.

This policy outlines how we plan to handle post-publication changes like corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, and rare removals. We follow best practices based on recognized international guidelines, including those suggested by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

A. Corrections (Erratum / Corrigendum)

Corrections are issued when a minor error is identified that does not affect the core findings of the article but requires clarification.

  • Erratum: Correction initiated by the journal (e.g., formatting issue, editorial oversight).
  • Corrigendum: Correction requested by the author (e.g., typo, mislabeling, affiliation error).

Process:

  • The author or editor submits a clear explanation of the mistake.
  • The editorial team verifies and prepares a correction note.
  • The correction note will be linked with the original article on our website.
  • If needed, the article PDF/HTML will be updated with clear mention of the correction.

B. Retractions

A retraction is issued in cases where the article's findings are no longer reliable, due to one or more of the following reasons:

  • Honest errors (e.g., flawed data analysis, experimental error)
  • Ethical violations (e.g., plagiarism, duplicate submission, lack of consent)
  • Breach of publication policy
  • Legal or copyright concerns

Process:

  • The issue is reported by authors, editors, reviewers, or readers.
  • An internal investigation is initiated.
  • Authors are notified and given a chance to respond.
  • If retraction is necessary, a Retraction Notice is published that explains:
    • The reason for retraction
    • Who requested it (author/editor)
    • Whether it was an error or misconduct
  • The original article remains available online with a “Retracted” watermark, unless removal is legally required.

C. Expression of Concern

When serious concerns arise, but a full investigation is still underway, an Expression of Concern may be issued.

  • This alerts readers that the article is under review.
  • Once the investigation concludes, we may update it to either a correction or retraction.

D. Article Removal (Rare Cases)

An article will only be removed in extreme cases such as:

  • Proven defamation or legal obligations
  • Violation of personal privacy or national security
  • Court orders or copyright claims

In such cases:

  • A note will replace the article stating the reason for removal.
  • Citation information may still be available to maintain transparency.

E. Author Responsibilities

  • Authors must inform the journal immediately if they identify an error in their published work.
  • Authors must cooperate with the editorial team during investigations or corrections.
  • Deliberate misconduct may lead to retraction and restriction from future submissions.

F. Publisher Responsibilities

  • The journal team will handle corrections and retractions transparently and professionally.
  • All actions will follow recognized ethical standards (e.g., COPE guidelines).
  • All updates will be clearly linked to the original articles for full traceability.

G. Future Indexing and Metadata Updates

  • Ensure that any corrected/retracted articles are properly documented.
  • Maintain accurate metadata for all articles to support academic referencing.
  • Follow indexing guidelines when approved to reflect all article statuses correctly.
